Use this box to recycle any item, clothing, or equipment used in a sport.

ACCEPTABLE WASTE

Please send us your bats, sticks, rackets (included broken parts such as strings, bumpers, and grippers), discarded biking and skateboarding equipment such as skateboards, bicycles, wheels, brakes, protective seats, bells, baskets, accessories, rims, reflectors, and handle bar cushions and grips. You may also send fishing rods, nets, hooks, weights, scales, popped and ripped frisbees, pucks, any type of ball (basketballs, water-sport, softballs, baseballs, footballs, tennis balls, soccer balls, volleyballs, golf balls, etc.), yoga mats, blocks, bags, Velcro straps and eye-cushions. Please also include any sports accessories and safety equipment such as helmets, protective pads, resistance accessories, free weights, straps, cones, mouth-guards, whistles, jump ropes, netting, pennies, and clothing specific to certain recreational activities, like swimsuits. 

HOW IT WORKS

Please choose the size box you'd like to purchase. When you receive your box fill it with the appropriate waste streams. Once full, bring your box to any UPS location to ship your items back using the pre-paid UPS shipping label which is already affixed to your box. When we receive your box, we'll safely recycle all of the collected materials. 

PROCESS

The collected waste is mechanically and/or manually separated into fabrics, metals, fibers, and plastics. Fabrics are reused, upcycled or recycled as appropriate. Metals are smelted so they may be recycled. The fibers (such as paper or wood based products) are recycled or composted. The plastics undergo extrusion and pelletization to be molded into new recycled plastic products.

UNACCEPTABLE WASTE

Do not include fish or live bait or large gym machines. We will also not accept household hazardous waste such as  pressurized canisters, pesticides, oil based paint or medical sharps, organics, broken glass, bio-medical waste, soiled diapers or expired medication. In addition, we also will not accept any item that is classified as sharps, flammable, reactive, corrosive, ignitable, radioactive, toxic, infectious, or pathogenic.
